My #OneWord2019 :: EMPOWER

Last year was the first year I set a one-word theme for the new year. My #OneWord2018 was Focus. I loved having this one-word theme. It truly guided my year. I still struggle with focus and exactly those things that I set as my intention for the year. If I had termed this as a “resolution” I may have said I failed. But as an intention, I’d say I succeeded; improving my focus is something that I continuously worked towards all year. With just a subtle rephrasing of my goal, I go from “fail” to “success.” So I’ve become a fan of the idea of setting this one-word intention yearly.

2019 is right around the corner, so it’s time for me to share my one-word theme for the year ahead. My #OneWord2019 is Empower.

This is the year that I am publishing my book. I haven’t talked much about it yet; you’ll learn more soon. But the theme of empowerment should work well for my year ahead. I can’t wait to see what 2019 holds!
